LEGALIZE THE DIVINE

Challenging oul ideas about consciousness, healing, and the Divine through honest conversation and storytelling.

“There are many paths to healing.
The important thing is to recognize the need to heal.
Then figure out which path is right for you.”

— K. L. Sadler
Founder, Legalize the Divine

Mission Statement

Legalize the Divine exists to challenge old ideas about healing, consciousness, and the Divine through honest conversation, storytelling, and lived experience. Its purpose is to create space for thoughtful dialogue around spiritual freedom, trauma, integration, and the many paths people may take toward healing.

This work honors personal responsibility, conscience, curiosity, and the freedom to question long-held assumptions about how we understand ourselves, healing, and our relationship with the Divine.

About the Founder

Hi. I’m Kemmi Sadler, founder of Legalize the Divine LLC.

I’m a retired federal agent who spent more than twenty-five years in law enforcement and federal service. My work now focuses on creating space for honest conversations about healing, spiritual freedom, and the lessons that can emerge when we become willing to question long-held assumptions. I’m especially interested in how those conversations can reach first responders and others navigating life after service.

I believe spiritual freedom and the search for healing should be approached with integrity, accountability, curiosity, and respect—not fear or stigma.

Current Projects

📘 From the Badge to the Vine

After more than two decades in law enforcement and federal service, K. L. Sadler found herself confronting a question many who serve quietly carry:

Who am I when the badge comes off—and what happens to the parts of me shaped by duty, authority, and survival?

From the Badge to the Vine is a reflective memoir about moral injury, identity, and the long work of healing after a life built around certainty and control. Tracing Sadler’s journey from institutional service through loss, disillusionment, and personal reckoning, the book explores what happens when discipline collides with vulnerability—and when healing requires surrender rather than command.

Ceremonial work with ayahuasca appears not as a solution, but as one path among many. The heart of the story lies in what follows: the grounded, often difficult process of integrating insight into everyday life, relationships, and purpose, as old ways of coping quietly recede.

Written with investigative precision and emotional honesty, From the Badge to the Vine avoids easy conclusions or prescriptions. Instead, it offers a sober, humane exploration of healing that honors responsibility, conscience, and the search for meaning after service.

🐾 Nona’s Way

Nona’s Way began as a Camino de Santiago pilgrimage with my dog, Nona, walked in honor of first responders and the unseen weight many carry after service.

At first glance, it may seem separate from Legalize the Divine. But to me, they are part of the same larger work: creating honest conversations about healing, trauma, spiritual freedom, and the many paths people take back to themselves.

The Camino ended, but Nona’s Way didn’t.

What began as a walk across Spain is now growing into stories, books, resources, and community projects rooted in healing, resilience, nature, companionship, and hope. Through Nona’s Way, I hope to keep raising awareness around first responder mental health while supporting the long-term vision of Tall Pine Grove.
